The international conference on Motorways of the Sea and the opportunities offered for the development of both coastal areas and the entire country was held in Ancona on 20 May.
The conference, organized in the framework of the NEWBRAIN PLUS project, funded by the Interreg ADRION Programme, saw the participation of numerous political authorities and industry insiders, including the coordinator of the Baltic-Adriatic corridor Ms. Jensen and the Italian Minister of infrastructures and transport Mr. Giovannini.
Authorities and stakeholders have brought their experience and points of view in order to foster a dialogue on how to support intermodality, accessibility of ports as well as implement and exploit port infrastructures in order to promote a sustainable socio-economic development, in line with the objectives set by the European Green Deal, the Italian PNRR and territorial strategies such as the European strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian macro-region (EUSAIR).
