At the Green Logistics Expo in Padua, we contributed to the organization of the event “Decarbonizing Last-Mile Deliveries in Functional Urban Areas: Insights from the GRETA Project and Beyond” on behalf of CEI, a partner in the GRETA project funded by the Interreg Central Europe Programme.
The workshop, held on October 9, 2024, presented a study conducted for CEI on cargo hitching, an innovative urban logistics solution that seeks to exploit potential synergies between passenger and freight transport.
In addition, the event included two panel discussions: the first explored urban logistics with a focus on the FUAs involved in GRETA and synergistic projects on the same theme. The second roundtable, on the other hand, delved deeper on the potential development of cargo hitching actions in the Italian context, examining key support elements and potential barriers.
